About ↗

Most appendectomies are performed laparoscopically (keyhole) and recovery is quicker than many expect. For uncomplicated laparoscopic appendectomy, most people feel essentially normal within 1–2 weeks. Shoulder tip pain from the CO₂ gas is very common and not a cause for alarm.

⚕️ This is friendly general guidance. Your surgeon's and medical team's specific instructions always take priority. If you are concerned about any symptom, contact your surgical team or call emergency services; do not rely on this guide alone.
